Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the GeoCopy website, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by GeoCopy ("GeoCopy," "we," "us," or "our") at https://geocopy.io.
By creating an account, starting a trial, connecting a site, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms as described in Section 18.
Description of the Service
GeoCopy is a software platform that helps users research topics, generate long-form articles and related content, apply SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) quality checks, and publish approved content to connected content management systems.
Features may include, depending on your plan:
- Keyword and topic research workflows
- AI-assisted drafting, editing, and validation pipelines
- Brand voice configuration and campaign batch generation
- CMS publishing to supported platforms (such as WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, and Ghost)
- Performance and citation reporting
- Public free tools with usage limits
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. The Service is provided on an evolving basis; we do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic levels, or AI citation outcomes.
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and API keys.
Notify us immediately at support@geocopy.io if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risk.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Paid plans, article quotas, connected site limits, and feature access are described on our pricing page and in your account. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge applicable fees on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Free trial. Unless stated otherwise, new subscriptions include a 7-day trial at the plan's article quota. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges. If you do not cancel, your payment method will be charged when the trial converts to a paid subscription.
Rollover. Unused articles may roll over for up to 30 days as described in your plan. Rollover rules do not apply after cancellation or plan changes unless we state otherwise.
Overages. On paid plans with an active subscription, articles beyond your included monthly quota are billed at $2.00 per article and appear on your next subscription invoice. Trial accounts cannot purchase overage articles; upgrade to continue publishing.
Refunds. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid charge after trial conversion, unless otherwise required by law. Contact support to request a refund. Partial-month refunds after the guarantee period are generally not provided except where mandated.
Taxes. Fees exclude applicable taxes, which you are responsible for paying.
Price changes. We may change prices for new customers. Existing subscribers may be grandfathered at their current rate as described on the pricing page until they change plans or cancel.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
- Generate or publish content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; defames others; or violates applicable advertising, healthcare, financial, or other regulated industry rules
- Distribute malware, spam, or deceptive SEO schemes (including link schemes or cloaking)
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or probe the Service except as permitted by law or written agreement
- Circumvent usage limits, authentication, or rate limits on free tools or APIs
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service to build a competing product using non-public aspects of the Service
- Submit sensitive personal data (such as health records or government IDs) without lawful basis and safeguards
We may remove content, block publishing, or suspend accounts that violate this section.
Your content and data
You retain ownership of content, materials, and data you submit to the Service ("Customer Content"), including brand assets, briefs, and approved articles. You grant GeoCopy a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, modify (for formatting and optimization), display, and transmit Customer Content solely to operate the Service, provide support, and improve reliability and safety.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit Customer Content and to authorize publication to connected CMS properties. You are solely responsible for final review and approval before content goes live.
AI-generated output
The Service produces drafts and suggestions using artificial intelligence. Output may be inaccurate, outdated, biased, or similar to existing works. You must review all output before publication.
We do not warrant that AI-generated content is original, non-infringing, or compliant with search engine or AI platform policies. You assume all risk for publishing generated content.
To the extent permitted by law, you may use approved output for your commercial purposes subject to these Terms. We do not claim ownership of your approved published articles.
CMS and third-party integrations
When you connect a CMS or third-party service, you authorize us to access and use credentials you provide to perform publishing and related actions you request. Third-party platforms are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, API changes, or policy enforcement by third parties.
You may disconnect integrations at any time. Disconnecting does not automatically remove content already published on external sites.
API access
If you use GeoCopy APIs, you must comply with documentation, authentication requirements, and rate limits. API keys are confidential. You are responsible for usage under your keys. We may revoke keys that are exposed, abused, or used in violation of these Terms.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, trademarks, documentation, and marketing materials, is owned by GeoCopy or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except as needed to describe your lawful use of the Service.
Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.
Confidentiality
Non-public information about the Service (such as unreleased features or pricing shared under NDA) must not be disclosed without permission. Customer Content is treated according to our Privacy Policy, not as our confidential information unless separately agreed.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, SPECIFIC SEARCH RANKINGS, TRAFFIC, REVENUE, OR AI CITATION RESULTS, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL MEET LEGAL OR REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR INDUSTRY.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GeoCopy AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; IN THOSE CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GeoCopy and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.
Suspension and termination
You may cancel your subscription through the portal or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future billing; access continues through the end of the current paid period unless we state otherwise.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach of these Terms, non-payment, legal requirement, or risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive (including payment obligations, IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or unauthorized access. Arbitration will take place in Delaware unless otherwise required by law.
You waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration to the extent permitted by law.
General provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a business transfer.
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
- No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and changing the effective date. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice when practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, cancel before the new terms take effect.
